Inovasi Sekolah Dasar Journal publishes the result of literature studies as well as research result in the scope of education in general and basic education in particular. The focus and scope of articles published in this journal include elementary school learning innovations, elementary school learning media, elementary school assessments, elementary school curriculum development, and teaching materials used in learning in elementary schools.The study cover education and learning in basic education, the studies of five areas of elementary school namely mathematics, Indonesian language, science, social studies, and civics and additional fields such as English in basic education includes the study of local content studied in the scope of basic education.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aim at analyzing the implementation of moral inquiry method in integrating the values of local wisdom Minangkabau society that used to form the character of the students in learning Citizenship Education in elementary school. This study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research methods and data obtained through observation, interviews, and observation sheets attitude. Subjects in this study were teachers and students of class V elementary school 18 Air Tawar Padang. Data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions / verification. Results of the study revealed that the implementation method based on local wisdom moral inkuri Minangkabau to the character formation of students showed a good increase from the initial data obtained prior to action. Preliminary data indicated that the majority of students were in the stage of "Start Seen" for each character and the third cycle are in the stage of "entrenched" for each character, the average occupied 24 students from 28 students. The use of moral inquiry method can make the learning was presented in a concrete and contextual by providing moral discourse then learners find their own settlement discussions in accordance with the rules agreed upon in the formation of character. Keywords: Moral Inquiry, Citizenship Education Learning, Character Education, Local Wisdom Minangkabau

Abstract

Abstract: The ability of teachers to develop teaching materials is still lacking. Therefore, it is necessary teaching materials that can complement the use materials, such as students Worksheet (LKS) contextual based. LKS is expected to be the teaching materials appropriate to the characteristics of the students, practical because it is easy to use in learning, and effective in supporting learning activities that be educated to scientific. LKS approach is expected to increase of  students engagement during the learning, make a positive contribution and time becomes more effective, to the achievement of student learning outcomes. This study the design research development. The development model used is the model Rowntree. Subjects in this study were fourth grade in elementary school 117 Palembang, in the second semester of the school year 2013/2014. Use of this contextual-based LKS can improve student learning outcomes and effective in supporting student learning to use and serve as a handle of teachers in learning the lessons subtema I'm proud of my neighborhood. Keywords: Contextual-based LKS Abstrak: Kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar masih sangat kurang. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan bahan ajar yang dapat melengkapi penggunaan bahan ajar tersebut, seperti Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis kontekstual. LKS yang dimaksud diharapkan menjadi bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa, praktis karena mudah digunakan dalam pembelajaran, dan efektif dalam mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran yang berpen-dekatan saintifik.Penggunaan LKS ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa saat pembelajaran, memberikan kontribusi positif dan waktu menjadi lebih efektif, terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan desain penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan ialah model Rowntree. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 117 Palembang pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penggunaan LKS berbasis kontekstual ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta efektif dalam mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran siswa untuk digunakan dan dijadikan sebagai pegangan guru dalam mempelajari pelajaran subtema aku bangga dengan daerah tempat tinggalku. Kata Kunci: LKS berbasis Kontekstual

Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays, studying in Elementary School tends to use worksheet that is sold by the publisher. Basically, most of worksheet for mathematics do not fit into the characteristic of the students and not accommodate their creative thinking. This situation causes low activity of the students and their creative thinking becomes undeveloped. This fact needs to be solved by developing worksheet which contains open ended problem. This solution was executed by developing worksheet which based on valid, practical, and effective form of Open Ended Problem. This research was development research. This research adopts Mc Kenny model, which consists of introductory analysis, designing, and marking phases. The result of research shows that the developed worksheet which based on Open Ended Problem is already valid, practical, and effective. Keyword: Open Ended Problem, creative thinking, fluency, flexibility, novelty, validity Abstrak: Pembelajaran di sekolah dasar (SD) saat ini cenderung menggunakan LKS yang dijual dari penerbit, tidak terkecuali untuk mata pelajaran matematika. LKS matematika yang banyak digunakan pada dasarnya belum sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dan belum mengakomodasi siswa untuk dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Keadaan yang demikian menjadi salah satu pemicu rendahnya aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran dan pemikiran kreatif siswa menjadi tidak berkembang. Kenyataan ini perlu dicarikan solusi, yaitu dengan mengembangkan LKS yang memuat soal bersifat terbuka. Solusi ini diwujudkan dalam bentuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis Open Ended Problem yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini mengadopsi model Mc Kenny, yang terdiri atas tahap analisis pendahuluan, tahap perancangan, dan tahap penilaian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis Open Ended Problem  yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata kunci: Open Ended Problem, berpikir kreatif

Abstract

Abstract: Facts on the ground indicate that learning Citizenship Education is still running as usual (conventional), which is not unfamiliar teachers use learning models that make students active and creative in an effort to develop the potential of students , which in turn is able to achieve competency set by the curriculum . This study follows the procedures classroom action research stages, namely (a) for planning actions, (b) Application of action, (c) Observation and Evaluation , (d) Analysis and Reflection . In this study planned three (3) cycles, each cycle with two (2) meetings of learning. Learning achievement can be seen from the acquisition of learning outcomes first cycle the average value of 65.5 , the second cycle of the average value of 70.5 and a third cycle value of 77.3 while the motivation scores are in the high category, in the first cycle of 94.5, the second cycle of 100.2 and 110.5 of the third cycle . Model Picture and Picture on Citizenship Education learning can improve Motivation and Achievement.Keyword: Model of Picture and picture, Motivation and Learning AchivementAbstrak: Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganega­raan masih berjalan seperti biasanya (konvensional), dimana belum terbiasanya guru mene­rap­kan model-model pembelajaran yang membuat siswa aktif dan kreatif dalam usaha mengem­bangkan potensi siswa yang pada akhirnya mampu mencapai kompetensi yang dite­­­tapkan oleh kurikulum. Penelitian ini mengikuti prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tahapan yaitu: (a)  Perencaaan Tindakan, (b) Penerapan Tindakan, (c) Observasi dan Evaluasi, (d) Analisis dan Refleksi. Dalam penelitian ini direncanakan 3 (tiga) siklus, masing-masing siklus dengan 2 (dua) kali pertemuan pembelajaran. Prestasi belajar dapat diketahui dari perolehan hasil belajar siklus I nilai rata-rata 65,5, siklus II nilai rata-rata 70,5 dan siklus III nilai 77,3, sedangkan skor motivasi berada dalam kategori tinggi yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 94,5, siklus II sebesar 100,2 dan siklus III sebesar 110,5. Melalui Model Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan Motivasi dan Prestasi Belajar. Kata kunci: Model Picture and picture, Motivasi dan Prestasi Belajar

Abstract

Abstract: This study is conducted based on the investigation of instruction which is inappropriate with mathematics instructions according to KTSP and UNESCO. It is found that teachers consider mathematics learning activity as routines. Focus of this study is mainly about the analysis of mathematic habits of mind skills of 5th grade children in an Islamic School in Bandung. A qualitative grounded theory approach is used by doing some interactions with participants in the field and developing a theory inductively. The subject of this including 19 boys and 9 girls. The data is examined by conducting credibility test that consists of the using of reference material and triangulation. The result of this study prove that children who have high skills of acquisition according to the instructions given by the teacher, are able to appear the indicator of mathematics habits of mind skills children. Keywords: mathematics habits of mind, 5th grade children Abstrak: Artikel ini dilatar belakangi dari tinjauan terhadap realitas di lapangan yang tidak sesuai dengan tujuan serta pedoman pembelajaran matematika menurut KTSP dan UNESCO. Hal ini ditandai dengan kenyataan bahwa para guru di lapangan banyak yang menganggap kegiatan pembelajaran matematika hanya merupakan rutinitas saja. Fokus penelitian ini adalah analisis terhadap kemampuan habits of mind matematis siswa kelas V di salah satu SD Islam di bagian Utara kota Bandung. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian grounded theory yaitu teori dikembangkan secara induktif selama interaksi berlangsung dan melalui interaksi yang terus menerus dengan data di lapangan. Subyek penelitian ini terdiri dari 19 orang siswa laki-laki dan 9 orang siswa perempuan. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui uji kredibilitas yang meliputi: penggunaan bahan referensi dan triangulasi. Hasil analisis terhadap seluruh data penelitian membuktikan bahwa siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan tinggi dengan tahapan kegiatan pembelajaran yang diberikan guru dapat memunculkan indikator kemampuan habits of mind matematis siswa yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: habits of mind matematis, siswa kelas V sekolah dasar

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the lack of learning motivation and mathe-matical communication skills. One way to improve the learning motivation and mathe-matical communication skills of students is to use whole brain teaching strategies. The study was conducted in schools of Bandung and performed at second semester  of school year 2013/2014. The population was students in fourth grade. This research aims to see the effect of whole-brain learning teaching on learning motivation and mathematical communication skills. The method of the research was a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control design. Instrument used was a questionnaire learning motivation and mathematical communication skills test. Data were analyzed by examining the mean difference. The results showed that there is an effect increased motivation learning and mathematical communication skills better to use whole brain teaching strategies. Research can be recommended is the use of whole brain teaching strategies must be adapted to the mathematics learning materials and conditionof students. Keywords: whole brain teaching strategies, learning motivation, mathematical communication skills  Abstrak: Penelitianini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada sekolah yang berada di Bandung dan dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas IV SD semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh strategi whole brain teaching terhadap moti­vasi belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penelitianinimenggunakanmetodekuasieksperimenpostest-pretest control group design.Instrumen yang digunakanadalah angket motivasi belajar dan teskemampuan komunikasi matematis.Data dianalisisdenganmenggunakanujiperbedaan rata-rata.Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwaada pengaruh peningkatanmotivasi belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi matematisyang lebih baik denganmenggunakanstrategi whole brain teaching.
